We visited the arboretum last year during the autumn in effort to capture those glorious colours, however the deal was that we got free entry during January as a result and today decided that we’d visit again…… It was however a little cold and not much fun wandering around with the camera……. the big pool was really where all the action was……….

If they look a little grumpy it’ll be because their feet are cold, there was ice on the water too!……..:(

How about that weather then?……. can’t believe we are nearly half way through January and locally seen NO snow!……. for someone like me who is out on the road during the day this really is a blessing…. But as this is “Whatandysees” here is a pic of a bloom that Chrissy installed in the kitchen recently, couldn’t resist the shot!…….:)

As mentioned before we spend a little time over at Cannock Chase taking pics of our feathered friends and this week saw a chance to check out that new lens on subjects just a bit closer…… What a piece of glass!…..:))

A New Lens……….

Approaching Christmas I often treat myself to a little something that I’ve had my eye on for a while and this year is no different, I recently purchased an external flash in an effort to improve indoor pics and am surprised at the results, however just last week I really gave into temptation and bought the lens that I have drooled over for some time….. today was the first day out with it and although the sky was overcast and therefore the light was far from ideal I can tell that this lens is going to give me some cracking pics!……….. Below are just a taste (ISO 800/1250) when the light improves I’ll be out there snapping!…….:)

Now with it being time I should be a little drunk I wish anyone who is reading here a very Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2012………… Thank you for your support!…….:-)

Cannock Chase Birds

Due to the weather being kind to us on sunday we decided to drive over to Cannock Chase again just to give the cameras a work out!…… there’s a little car park where locals (and some togs) feed the local bird population, the result is most of the birds in the area are quite comfortable and will settle close to the camera!…… here is the result of a couple of hours!…..:)

Bridgnorth Rugby Club Fireworks

November 5th we were invited to Bridgnorth Rugby Club by Bridgnorth Aluminium who sponsor the evening……. Again they put on a superb display, supported by a band, hog roast, burger bar, BAR! and side stalls…………

Witley Court in Autumn

Due to the fact that this just could be the last chance we get this year to capture that wonderful autumn colour, we wanted to make the most of the good weather today!…….. Chrissy came up with the idea of a day out at Witley Court. We’ve been here before and the fountain now restored is a joy to behold!….. Imagine our disappointment when we discovered that LAST week was the last running of the fountain this year!…….:(

Never mind!….. we had a great walk around and did manage to capture some of that awesome colour!……

Back to work tomorrow, if that’s for you too then take care and take it easy!……;)
