Some Birds are Camera Shy!……….

23 Apr

We only popped out for an hour or so yesterday, The weather was changeable and threatening rain all day so just a walk up the hill behind where we live!…… Chiffchaffs are around but boy are they quick!….:)

By the time you spot ’em then gain a focus they’re gone!…..

Managed just one half decent pic………

Then on the way back for a coffee the local poser was watching us so we had to oblige!……:)

Happy Week everybody!………;))

Love your photos! I too am a nature enthusiast and avid photographer! Nature photography is definitely my fave though. If you don’t mind my asking what is your favorite every day lense? I currently am shooting with a Canon 60D 85-135mm. I have a few lenses but am still on the hunt for the perfect nature one (with out having to switch lenses while I am out and about). Check out some of my photos @ peaceofshanda.com under Image Igniting Imagination. If you like of course! Have a beautiful day!

Hi Shanda, Thanks for your comment, my favourite lens right now is a 300mm prime, but then I always take a 10-20mm for the landscapes?….. there is no single “best” lens for what we do?….. your 18-135 is a good compromise if you don’t want to swap lenses but it’ll always be a little long for landscapes and a little short for wildlife?……:(

That’s exactly the problem I have when out and about! Thanks for replying. Yes, I know there is no “best” and it is very different from one photographer to the next. =0) I guess favorite would have been the best adjective to use haha. Either way I’m enjoying following your blog! Happy travels!

That first picture is great – wonderful how you caught the action. And as for the third one – theres your Christmas Card shot sorted already!
