Skywatch Friday

A while back now Chrissy and I ventured into Wales, on the way back we spent a little time at Lake Vyrnwy and the weather really did treat us to some calm, sunny scenes with fluffy clouds!…. Skywatch territory!…..

Sunny Wales 2

With the success of our recent visit to Wales and the continuing good weekend weather we decided to venture back this last Sunday………….

I can remember visiting Pistyll Rhaeader as a child with my parents **yrs ago and because we’re both attracted to water, be it streams, rivers, sea, waterfalls, whatever?… this seemed like a good place to be on a sunny day?….

However, on the way there I failed to follow the Satnag and missed a turning, this resulted in the inevitable detour through lanes with grass down the center!….:) Fortunately it also resulted in us spotting a stunning scene of standing woodland with the sun glinting through the branches!………

I know they’re only pine trees but I just can’t help gazing up through the foliage!……….

Then a little further on we were presented with views up the valleys too?………

Chrissy was up for moving on though now, so the thought of more water at Lake Vyrnwy dragged us away, upon parking at Vyrnwy Chrissy spotted the RSPB bird hide…..
How to spend an hour with the camera!….. I popped the 70-200 on and when sitting down had to move back because I was too close to get the camera to focus, talk about spoiled for targets!…..:0

After leaving the hide at the visitor center we drove around the lake, the day again was warm sunny and calm, perfect for soft water captures and we weren’t disappointed…………………………

Hmmmmmmm?….. I’m saving that one for SKYWATCH!…….. hehehe

Sunny Wales

I have to be honest that I do love Wales!…. dynamic and dramatic scenery, lots of wildlife and lots of room with no one else around!……:)
However, and there’s always a down side, Wales is not known for regular amounts of really good weather…:(

I was watching metcheck last week and it did look like there was going to be un seasonal warm, dry and bright times around saturday sunday?………… Ok… take the camera and drive, only 250 miles or so, but such variety to be seen at every turn!…… here are just a few of the days vista’s…………
